Betsey Jeffery has been a licensed attorney in California since 1988 and has been a trial attorney since 1990. She became a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) in 2011, with the backing of Richard Carroll. Ms. Jeffery previously was an attorney with Kelly, Trotter & Franzen from 2006 to 2014, and returned in 2022.  She has always specialized in medical malpractice involving all types of cases across the entire life spectrum, but has special expertise in matters involving maternal-child health, such as litigation alleging infant brain injury in the intrapartum period.

Ms. Jeffery has been a licensed Registered Nurse in California since 1982 and has a Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN), with certification in Neonatal Intensive Care (RNC-NIC), Risk Management (CPHRM), and Patient Safety (CPPS).  She has served as an expert for the California Board of Registered Nursing and has had past experience as a Director of Risk Management for a large healthcare organization.  Ms. Jeffery has recent clinical experience as she has practiced both of her professions over the years. Her education and experience are invaluable in the defense of hospitals, providers, nurses, and allied professionals.
