Lifen W. Alfstad is an attorney at the San Diego office of Kelly, Trotter & Franzen.

Lifen (“Leaf”) earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from San Diego State University in 2009. She earned her CPA license (currently inactive) in 2016. Prior to entering the legal profession, she served as a public financial auditor with a focus on financial and compliance audits of California municipalities. Lifen graduated from the University of San Diego, School of Law in 2021 with a concentration in Healthcare Law. Throughout law school, she volunteered with the Prison Yoga Project both as an accountant and as a yoga teacher to the incarcerated at Richard J. Donovan State Prison. She hails from a family of physicians, which is the driving force behind her passion for medical malpractice defense.

Lifen enjoys spending time with her husband and two young daughters, horseback riding, yoga, art, and music.
